We’d love to use your gallery selfie or group shot on a special This Is Me poster celebrating the people who visit Falmouth Art Gallery – to be displayed on bus stops around the town.

This week's Art UK theme is Reflections. Currently on display as part of our Mirrors: Reflecting on Identity exhibition, this piece by South London artist Kirsty Latoya, known as KirzArt , explores identity and self-presentation in the age of social media.

Created digitally on an iPad, the work highlights the ways we curate versions of ourselves online - choosing what to share, how we are seen, and which parts of our selves we reflect back to the world.

Painting a Smile, 2019

Printed digital painting drawn on an iPad
Currently on loan from The Ruth Borchard Collection

This week's Art UK celebrates International Dog Day! This undated photograph of a chihuahua peeking out from a richly decorated garment is imbued with humour. Framed by chains, bells, and jewellery, the dog looks toward the camera with a playful expression.

Stern discovered his passion for photography at around six years old. At 19, he joined the BBC as a cameraman and went on to work on the influential Man Alive documentaries.

Alongside his film work, he produced still photographs in countries including Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and North America, developing a distinctive documentary style.

This work is currently available to see as part of our Collections Display .

Inspired by our Cornish abstract art collection, this series of three workshops invites you to experiment, play and get creative with materials.

Try your hand at painting on fabric, heat transfer vinyl and needle felting, taking inspiration from artists including Larry Ham, Andrew Lanyon, Graham Barnes and Grace Gardner.

There’s no fixed outcome and no need to be an experienced artist, just come ready to explore and see where the materials take you.

✨ A relaxed, hands-on creative experience designed to support wellbeing and encourage personal expression.
