Falmouth Theatre Company are immensely proud and honoured to announce that we have recieved 6 nominations from the Cornwall Drama Association for our production of The Sound of Music!

🎭 CDA Award for best set in a musical
🎭 CDA Award for best actor in a musical: Toby Nicholas as Max Deitweiller
🎭CDA Award for best actress in a musical: Rosy Clarke as Maria
🎭 Doris Berryman Trophy for best director of a musical: Lisa Topsey
🎭 Sally Robinson Trophy for outstanding musical performance: The orchestra of Sound of Music led by Mark Clapp
🎭 CDA trophy for best musical production

These nominations are a celebration of drama in Cornwall and recognise the hard work and talent of the many, many people involved in putting on a show like this. We want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our cast, creative team, backstage and front of house teams, volunteers, committee, members, friends and families that have been a part of FTC and Sound of Music!

Falmouth Theatre Company is delighted to announce that our 2028 Spring Musical will be…

🎤💼 9 to 5: The Musical 💼🎤

This is a show that has been in our plans for some time, but following this week’s sad news, we felt now was the right moment to share it.

Inspired by the music and spirit of the incomparable Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 is packed with laughter, friendship, empowerment and unforgettable songs. Dolly’s talent, kindness and generosity have touched millions around the world, and we hope to honour her incredible legacy by bringing this fantastic show to life on our stage in April 2028.

We can’t wait to celebrate her music, her humour and her incredible spirit with a production that the Queen of Country would be proud of. ❤️

So dust off your shoulder pads, tease that hair and get ready to clock in… 🕘

Our September workshops are fast approaching and spaces are running out, if you’re interested in giving singing, acting or dancing a go, no matter your experience, we would love to welcome you to our family! Why not give it a go? Make 2026 the year you put yourself out there!

Von Trapp’s on holiday 🌞

Our FTC members had a lovely time on the beach, catching up, swimming and making memories!
