Falmouth Skatepark Project The Famouth Skatepark Project is a committee based group driven by the need for a new skatepark in Falmouth.

We have been working hard on this for many years and have finally secured planning permission for a new park to be built at the Dracaena Centre. The current skatepark in Falmouth was worn down and out of date and had many repairs over the years. It reached a condition where it was no longer safe to use and had to be removed altogether. The Falmouth Skatepark Committee was formed in 2010 to make su

re that Falmouth has a usable skatepark for local people. We are currently working on replacing the old skatepark with a new more accessible facility which will reflect the needs of the local community. Current Committee Members

Such a mad and exhausting day for team Falmouth Skatepark. THANK YOU, to all our volunteers especially Alfie Kirsten Andy and team sessions. Thank you to all our local businesses and mates that gave us their kit, time and expertise to support today. We are delighted that the rain held off for as long as it did and we got so much amazing wheeled sports in, considering the forecast. Huge thanks to Dracaena Centre s team for what they pulled off today and all the support form Falmouth Town Council, UK, Source FM, Falmouth Uni, The Chintz Symposium Falmouth Reggae Festival and so many others.



We are all overwhelmed with gratitude for the appreciation shown to us today by the community, both for building the skatepark and putting on such a great event today. Truly humbled. We did it because we care about our community in Falmouth and understand the sense of belonging that comes in providing a skatepark.

After a pint we are all off to dry out and get into bed 🤣

We love our community- let’s do it all again next year.

Some info ahead of tomorrow:

- anyone taking part of the events need to be at the park at least 15 minutes prior to event to sign a waiver and under 16’s will need a parent or legal guardian present. Helmets must be worn also.

- don’t forget tomorrow is a no car zone so please walk, use public transport or park at Ponsharden park & ride.
