A new collection by Clementine Neild has arrived online and in the gallery.
This series of monotypes explores the intricate details of Trebah Gardens near Mawnan Smith, Cornwall, where Clementine regularly walks with her lurcher. Created as a sequence, each print is entirely unique while evolving from the one before. The collection comprises 10 fern monotypes and 6 bamboo monotypes.
With no permanent plate involved in the process, these works are original prints in the truest sense. Painted by hand onto acetate and passed through a press, each piece is shaped through a collaboration between artist and machine, producing marks and textures that could not be achieved by hand alone.
Beautifully presented in glass-fronted frames, these intimate works are ready to hang and enjoy.
