***IMPORTANT UPDATE!!***
It is with much sadness in our hearts that we have to announce ALL planned boat parties have been canceled!
Unfortunately, after the lifting of all restrictions, we received an email from the Princessa Boat Owners that put us in a position where we had no choice but to cancel all parties. This is NOT our choice.
The main points of the email were -
1) Yes, now restrictions are lifted the party can go ahead as planned.
2) Even though all restrictions had been lifted by the government, the boat owners wanted to protect thier staff, so with that in mind, they were capping the capacity of the boat party to just 65 people. We were told we could have 95 people on the boat providing the party could go ahead when we were in lockdown.
This would mean we would have had to pick 30 people who would have their ticket cancelled, and not only this, it meant it would be impossible for us to cover the costs of putting the party on.
3) The boat owners also requested that we asked those 65 people to stay OUTSIDE of the boat, on deck or on the balcony and to try and stay away/out of the indoor area where the bar/dancefloor/music is. Something I had to state was a ridiculous thing to expect from us, asking us to tell ticket holders to please not go on the dancefloor, not to enjoy the music, etc, and I told them I wasn't prepared to do this.
Please do not take this as us trying to create a witch hunt against the boat owners in any way, shape or form. We fully respect the boat owners wanting to protect their staff, and we understand their decision. However, this doesn't make it any easier to take when we have been planning this for over a year and have spent time and money promoting this event.
I have delayed this news for a couple of days as we are waiting for a venue to come back to us with confirmation that we can move the party to another location. But we are still waiting for confirmation after 3 days wait on this and I didn't want to leave it any longer as I know people are getting excited and arranging sitters etc.
I have spoken to the ticket site and usually, they would only refund the ticket costs and not their booking fee. However, I have explained to them that this isn't the customer's fault and have managed to get them to agree to full refunds. The refunds are automatic and should already be back in your account!!
If you have unfortunately bought your ticket from somebody that no longer wanted theirs, I'm afraid you will need to go back to the person you bought it from to get your money back.
We are truly devastated about this, guys, believe us. Hopefully, I can get a new venue in time so we can still party. This will be a money on the door situation so no need to keep hold of those tickets.
