We've teamed up with Radisson RED Glasgow on Finnieston Quay to get Bike Legends Scotland visitors and exhibitors a preferred rate for Halloween weekend.

RED do things differently - street art on the walls, live DJs some nights, and RED Sky Bar, ranked among the world's top 50 rooftop bars, looking straight out over the Clyde.

𝗔 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝘆. 𝗔 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿. 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲.

Baby Blue. The third build in David’s Bike Legends Scotland hat-trick, and the one with the most attitude hiding behind the softest name. This 1962 Triumph 5TA starts with a David Bird hardtail, Triumph conical forks on T140 yokes, and 16" wheels front and rear - matched top to bottom, which is what gives it that low, level, ready-to-go stance. A Daytona-spec engine, Tony Hayward belt drive and clutch, a single Amal 626 carb and Pazon ignition do the work under the tank. That tank is a genuine Triumph T120 export, paired with a Lowbrow Customs dished oil tank, both finished in Beach Customs' baby-blue paint with a white pinstripe and a racing number – 97, pinned to the tank like it's lining up on a grid, not a show stand.

𝗔 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗼'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗴.

Build two of three from David, and this one's all about the names.

A Triumph 500 frame gets a David Bird 4" stretch and 1" drop over a looped hardtail - the kind of subtle rear-end work that makes a bobber sit right. Triumph 5TA forks carry 19" front and 16" rear wheels. Twin Amal 626 carbs feed a Daytona-spec engine, Tony Hayward built the belt drive and clutch, and Pazon handles the spark. Up top sits a Cole Foster petrol tank - that long, slim, unmistakable shape borrowed from one of custom culture's most recognisable tank silhouettes - paired with a Factory Metal Works oil tank, ribs and all, doing double duty as function and finish.

Muddy Beach Customs laid the paint that ties it together.

None of this happened by accident - every name on that spec sheet was chosen.

That's the bar for a Bike Legends Scotland submission: not perfection, meaning.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲'𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.

David’s builds aren't arriving at Bike Legends Scotland untested - he's arriving with silverware already on the shelf. This 1961 Triumph 500 chopper starts with a Triumph 500 frame, stretched 2" and dropped 1" over a David Bird hardtail, then built up with Triumph conical forks, 21" front and 19" rear wheels on alloy hubs and drum brakes, a Daytona-spec engine, Tony Hayward belt drive and clutch, twin Amal 626 carbs and Pazon electronic ignition. The tank's a Wassel-style peanut, the oil tank a Lowbrow Customs dome, and the fish-scale green paint - laid down by Muddy Beach Customs, is the kind you need to see catch the light in person.
