As the sun set on FalkirkFest you may or may not have noticed our projection on Callendar House. Andrew was the director and co-founder of FalkirkFest and passed away suddenly on Hogmanay last year. He would have absolutely loved to have seen the joy and atmosphere you all brought on Saturday.

Our Charity Busker Stage was in his memory and we raised £450 for a small foundation we are currently setting up in his name. All donations will be split between small grants for up and coming music talent, young entrepreneurs, and a small percentage donated every year to Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team & the British Heart Foundation

We’re really pleased to welcome Talking About Ray to open Falkirk Fest this year.

Sarah, from the band, wasn’t just connected to the festival through music. She was a friend of Andy and volunteered at the festival in the early days, helping build the event into what it became.

When the band applied about opening this year’s festival, it honestly felt like a no-brainer.

It feels fitting that they’ll be the first band to take to the stage, helping kick off a weekend that’s always been about great music, good people and bringing everyone together.

We can’t wait to welcome them to Falkirk Fest.
