Our 21 dancers from Stenhouse Performing Arts are proudly representing Scotland at the Global Dance Open Finals 2026 in San Sebastián, and we’re now into the final stages of our fundraising journey.

We’ve been completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown so far—thank you to everyone who has supported our team. 💜

Our next challenge is a sponsored walk through some of Falkirk’s most iconic landmarks, from Callendar House to The Kelpies, finishing at The Falkirk Wheel. As well as raising vital funds, it’s a wonderful opportunity for our dancers to spend valuable time together as a team outside the studio.

Illuminate 2026 – Larbert

During our annual show, we had the privilege of celebrating an incredible milestone – 50 Golden Years of Teaching for our very own Miss Ambrose. 💜✨

Keeping it a secret wasn’t easy, but we managed to surprise her with a special dedication during the performance, honouring five decades of unwavering commitment, passion and inspiration.

Miss A’s journey with Stenhouse began as a young pupil at the Stenhouse School of Dance under the direction of Miss Langlands before stepping into her first teaching role in 1976. Since then, she has helped shape generations of dancers, watching the school evolve and grow into the Stenhouse Performing Arts family we know today. When Miss A started the disco exams, she created a format of socialised events for wider families and friends to attend and enjoy.

Throughout those 50 years, Miss A has been at the heart of so much change and innovation. She introduced Go-Go Dancing, embraced the era of Disco Dancing, and has continued to evolve with the times through our DanceMix programme. She also brought Modern and Tap to the school, creating opportunities for thousands of young performers to discover their love of dance and performance.

Her influence extends far beyond choreography and technique. She has inspired confidence, created lifelong memories, and nurtured friendships that have lasted generations. Many of the children she taught decades ago now bring their own children through our doors alongside her own children and now grandchildren, a testament to the legacy she has built.

To dedicate a number to her during the show was a small gesture compared to everything she has given to our school over the last half-century.

Miss A, on behalf of Miss Langlands and myself, thank you for your dedication, your wisdom, your humour and your unwavering love for our Stenhouse family. We are incredibly grateful that you are still very much part of our team, continuing to inspire the next generation just as you have for the last 50 years.

Here’s to an extraordinary teacher, an incredible role model, and 50 remarkable years of making a difference.

About last night…wow!

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE day from start to finish at Illuminate 2026 – Larbert. 💜✨

Sorry for the late post! It’s been a day of preparations for next weekends show and costumes re-sort!

I said so many thank yous last night, but I could honestly say them all over again.

Thank you to every single child who stepped onto that stage with courage, commitment and pure joy. You made us so proud. 💜

Thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes, giving so much of themselves to make days like this possible. 💜

And to our wonderful families, thank you for your endless support, encouragement and belief in what we do.💜

We are about so much more than dance and performance. We are about friendship, confidence, belonging and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Watching our pupils shine on that stage is the greatest reward of all.

To everyone who plays a part in this journey with us – thank you. We truly have the best team all round, and I couldn’t be more grateful to share it with you all.

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate some very special news from the Stenhouse Performing Arts family!

A huge congratulations to Sophie Juszczak, who has successfully gained a place on The Royal Ballet School Junior Associate Programme – an incredible achievement and a testament to her dedication, talent and love for ballet.

This prestigious programme offers exceptional young dancers the opportunity to train alongside some of the country’s most promising ballet students, and we couldn’t be prouder to see Sophie taking this exciting next step in her dance journey.

We can’t wait to watch her continue to flourish and make the most of this incredible experience.

A huge congratulations to Cianna Bentall, who has been crowned Junior Song & Dance Champion at the IDTA Scotland Area TDCI Championships! 🏆✨

What a fantastic achievement and a moment to remember. After the week you have had, this is an amazing result even if mum wasn’t there to see it!

As if that wasn’t enough, Cianna has now also qualified for the prestigious Champ of Champs competition, where she will represent the area amongst the very best performers throughout the UK.

✨ Congratulations to all of our incredible Dance Mix dancers who took their exams this weekend! ✨

Miss A was absolutely thrilled with everyone, and we couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, confidence and enthusiasm shown by all of our dancers throughout the session 💜

A huge thank you to Miss A and her amazing team for all of their hard work behind the scenes and for ensuring everything ran so smoothly across the weekend. Your dedication and support means so much to our dancers and families.

And of course, thank you to Mr Hunt for sharing his expertise and encouragement with our pupils — it is always so appreciated.
