PANTO READ THROUGH TOMORROW!! Wednesday 2nd September 7:30pm

Open Auditions - Monday 7th September 2026

If you fancy having a go at treading the boards for the first time or are an old hand, come along and join the fun!

This December we are heading back to the magical world of Panto Land with the classic tale (with a twist)… Pinocchio…

We will be holding the script read through on Wednesday 2nd September at 7:30pm at Fakenham Community Centre, Oak Street, Fakenham, Norfolk, NR21 9DY.

Auditions will then be held on Monday 7th September at 7:30pm again at Fakenham Community Centre.

Rehearsals will then commence on Wednesday 9th September with show week Tuesday 8th - Saturday 12th December 2026 (inc a Saturday matinee)

Rehearsals are held Monday & Wednesday 7:30pm-10pm at Fakenham Community Centre.

Open to anyone aged 18yrs and over, no previous panto experience necessary!!!

this is the last workshop that I am running as part of this years Fakenham Art Festival (Active Fakenham) but I am going to be setting up some children's/family friendly workshops and art & craft clubs in the coming weeks and months so please keep your eyes peeled for more information about them on this page

Come and spend the afternoon getting creative as we make textile pictures out of fabric, thread/yarn and embellishments

Stories of the River Wensum Workshop series is coming to the Fakenham Arts Festival 2026!

I'm so excited to be taking part in this year's Fakenham Arts Festival!

Throughout August I'll be running a series of family-friendly art and craft workshops inspired by the River Wensum, local wildlife, storytelling and creativity. Whether you'd like to join in just one workshop or come along to the whole series, everyone is welcome - no experience needed and all materials provided.

Workshops include:
Life along the river - drawing, painting and printmaking workshop
River Creatures - Character designing and paper puppet making workshop
River Spirits - 3D mask making workshop
Story patches - Textile storytelling workshop
Mini River Stories - zine and comic strip making workshop
The river wensum storywall - collaborative community art workshop

All workshops will be held at Fakenham Community Centre
£5 per person, per workshop
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Pre-booking is recommended

And there is more to come... I'll also be running additional drop-in art and craft activities on Thursday 6th August and Thursday 13th August on Fakenham's Thursday Market days. These will be seperate taster sessions for these workshops, and I'll be sharing more details very soon, so keep an eye on my page!
