Great visit to Cromer Artspace on the Prom last night for the 2026 Open Exhibition ‘Beyond the Frame’. A varied and engaging selection of work, beautifully curated, in this unusual bright art deco building right on the Cromer seafront. Browsing and discussing art to the sound of crashing waves in the dark outside. We only caught the final 30 minutes but am so glad we did, apparently it had been packed out earlier.
Beyond the Frame runs till Thursday 5th November, open daily 11am to 4pm.

My last workshop of the year, this November’s Expressive abstracts in acrylic ink, is now fully booked. Thanks to everyone who showed interest and joined my newsletter mailing list, which is how I’ll be announcing the next one in February 2027. And a big thanks to the wonderful participants I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past 3 workshops.

Musing whether to leave this as it is, or whether to add a semi opaque glaze (poss in an earthy colour) on part of it to pull it together…
I know, we’re not supposed to post works in progress (apparently), but I get to decide, and anyway I thought I’d share a little of the process with you.
