Important Customer Notices - July 2026
• Temporary Closure:
From Monday 22nd to Tuesday 30th June, The Bank will be closed to the public for building maintenance. Any pre-booked workshops and groups will not be affected. We will be open as usual from Wednesday 1st July!
• Changes to Opening Days:
Starting from July, unfortunately we will be closed to the public on Saturdays. As many of you may know, The Bank is run by a small team of volunteers and sadly we currently do not have enough Volunteers to run full café service. We understand this is disappointing and sincerely hope that this is only a temporary measure! And will update if and when we are able to do so again. Please note - This change will not affect any pre-booked workshops, groups or events that take place on Saturdays.
To confirm new General Opening hours are:
Wednesdays to Fridays – 10.30am to 3.30pm
Please note - workshops and events often take place outside of these days/hours.
• Volunteers Needed:
everything we do is made possible by volunteers — from baking and serving in the café to supporting events, exhibitions and day‑to‑day running and management. We would like to say huge thank you to everyone who have already been in touch to express interest in volunteering! Although we are gradually doing inductions and are very excited to keep building our team, we are still in need of additional team members. Whether you’re creative, curious or simply keen to make a difference – if volunteering with us sounds like something you’d enjoy, we would love to hear from you and discuss a role that suits you!
• Kitchen:
After 3 years at The Bank, our Chef - Sean - will be leaving us in July to move onto other projects. We know many of you came to know him and will join us in wishing him well in his endeavors. We’re very grateful for his contributions to the Centre and he will be greatly missed. We kindly ask to be patient with us during the transition as we adjust behind the scenes putting new plans in place. But please don’t worry! Our café will remain open as usual – we intend to continue food service as seamlessly as possible, alongside proudly serving delicious Paddy & Scott’s Coffee and homemade cakes. Stay turned for updates!
