The Mayor of Exmouth, Graham Deasy, came to our Coffee Morning today. There's still another hour for you to come along and also enjoy our home made cakes and savouries and peruse our selection of second-hand books, puzzles and hand-made cards. You can even have a backstage tour like Graham.

If you can't make it today, our next Coffee Morning is on Saturday 11th July, 9.30am to 12pm.

After months of rehearsals, countless hours spent learning lines, songs and choreography, building sets, sourcing props, fitting costumes, programming lighting, balancing sound, and bringing this incredible production together...

Today is our final dress rehearsal before the curtain rises on We Will Rock You, and we cannot wait to welcome audiences to the Exmouth Pavilion for what promises to be an unforgettable week of rock anthems, laughter, rebellion and pure Queen magic.

We are delighted to confirm that Zoe Hudson-Young was awarded a 2025 Certificate Of Excellence for recognition of original writing of new dramatic work, at the Noda South West Awards last night. The Exmouth Players performed the world premiere of her production "Rosedale Hall" in August 2025.

Can you help our friends at The Salterton Drama Club?

🎭 URGENT CASTING CALL – Black or Ethnic Minority Actor for HORSE in The Full Monty

Salterton Drama Club — an award-winning amateur theatre company in East Devon known for producing ambitious, exceptional-quality productions — is urgently seeking a Black or ethnic minority male performer for the role of HORSE in our December 2026 production of The Full Monty.

Please note this is the original British play adapted by the author straight from the film.

Unfortunately, the production is potentially at risk if we are unable to cast this role.

HORSE Playing age: flexible (traditionally 50–65)
Horse is one of the six principal roles in the show — warm, funny, soulful and full of humanity, with wonderful stage presence and comic heart. A genuinely standout character role with real presence throughout the production.

In line with the author’s casting guidance, we are specifically seeking a Black or ethnic minority actor for this role.
We are very open on playing age and would simply love to hear from strong performers who may be interested.

📅 Performance dates: 7th–12th December 2026
⚠️ Potential extended run from 4th December subject to demand
🎭 Rehearsals: Tuesday & Thursday evenings from September, with some Sundays closer to the production.

This is an unpaid amateur production, however we would be willing to discuss reasonable travel expenses for the right performer.

Salterton Drama Club has a strong reputation for ambitious productions, strong audiences and a welcoming company atmosphere, and this promises to be a fantastic production to be part of.
