Exmouth Festival A free festival of the arts across the seaside town of Exmouth.

Exmouth Festival is a multi-arts festival providing entertainment in a wide variety of arts such as live music, arts & crafts and food. This being a free festival it is not only aimed at being a fun festival for adults but also providing child-friendly entertainment and allowing for families to bring their dogs along to join in with the fun.

The Art Explora is in The Strand until Wednesday afternoon, and has had a very busy first day with lots of art-curious visitors!

The museum is a single room with a film viewing area at one end. There are paintings, sculptures and videos to look at on the theme of the sea, and a booklet giving you information about each one.

Morning sessions are bookable hour long slots for families which include a creative activity (booking link below). Afternoons are for drop-in visits.
The door is kept closed apart from entrance and exits to maintain the correct temperature for the artworks - which you'll be pleased to hear is nice and cool!

Access is via 6 steps, but there is a mobility lift - please call in advance if you would like to use the lift - the number and access details are here:

Come and see works by J.M.W. Turner, Lubaina Himid, Bridget Riley, Zineb Sedira, Emma Stibbon and EVEWRIGHT and learn how their art represents their different relationships with the sea.

Throughout the summer of 2026, the Art Explora Mobile Museum is touring an exhibition from the Government Art Collection across the Southwest and Northwest of England. Artworks from the national collection will be presented in the heart of communities.

A sea-themed art exhibition is coming to Exmouth - and you can book your free session now. This is for all ages, no art experience needed!

See how artists have responded to our relationship with the sea:
* historic depictions of Britain's ports and maritime heritage
* contemporary reflections on migration, identity, climate change and the environment
