💷 RECORDING A SONG MIGHT COST LESS THAN YOU THINK.

For a well-rehearsed five-piece band, a £200–£300 recording session works out at around:

£40–£60 each
That’s potentially enough to turn the song you’ve been rehearsing into something you can actually release.

Every project is different, so don’t worry about trying to calculate studio hours yourself.

Lots of Rameagle listening and mixing this week. 53 guide tracks to select 30 versions to compare. Gave us 13 songs to start overdubs on. Can’t wait to start on guitar overdubs and try out the new Fredman mic clip for lovely thick guitars.

Bye bye Behringer x32, you complicated beast!!

You have given me some great results recording a heap of bands, whilst also giving me some of the highest stress levels.

Now you’re off to a new home, a new journey and a load of stress for someone else!

The money you raised will get us up and running with the new 24 Channel Analogue Soundtracks mixer that our tech guy Dan is in the process of bringing back to life!

The most epic session yet! Tobias ben Jacob came in to record today and put down 10 Bob Dylan songs in 2 hours.

Also leaving enough time for harmonica and vocal harmonies.

Amazing really, was really chilled, considering how much music was made.

Good.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing.

You don’t need to understand microphones, mixing, mastering or how many takes you’re supposed to do.

That’s our job.

Your job is to know your songs and play them.

We’ll help with the rest.

So if you’ve been putting off recording because you’ve never done it before, send us a rough demo or rehearsal recording.

Your first recording has to start somewhere.

Potentially, yes.

A well-rehearsed five-piece splitting a £200–£300 recording session works out at roughly £40–£60 per member.

That’s less than a bad night out and you have something amazing to show for it at the end.
Obviously every project is different.

So rather than trying to work out studio rates, hours and recording methods yourself:

You don’t need to book a studio day just to find out.

Send us a rehearsal recording or rough demo first.

We’ll listen and give you a realistic idea of whether you’re ready, what we’d work on before recording and how we’d approach the session.

No hard sell. We’d rather you came into the studio ready.
