Devon Youth Chamber Brass

Devon Youth Chamber Brass Devon Youth Chamber Brass is a county brass ensemble for intermediate-advanced brass players in Devon

22/02/2026

Devon Music Education Hub is excited to invite young musicians from across Devon, Plymouth, and Torbay to join our Summer Concert Tour to Brittany in July 2026. The tour is now open to all intermediate–advanced singers and instrumentalists aged 11–18. You don’t need to be part of an existing Hub group—participants will form a tour choir and band/orchestra, and those who sing and play are welcome to do both.

The tour offers unforgettable opportunities to perform in beautiful Breton venues, collaborate with other young musicians, experience French culture, and grow musically and personally.

Working with OneStage Specialist Concert Tours, we will travel by coach and ferry, staying half‑board at Ethic Etapes Youth Hostel, St Malo. The dates are 17–21 July, including three concerts and cultural excursions. The tour cost is £750, payable in instalments. Families facing financial barriers are encouraged to contact us confidentially.

Great to be back with a Victorian bang after the summer break, working with one of the country’s finest chamber brass ensembles Queen Victoria's Consort alongside our friends at Devon County Youth Brass Band and brass players from across the county.

All 20+ young musicians were treated to a workshop and concert from leading experts in the field, followed by the opportunity to play a Victorian ancestor of their own instrument in a concert to parents of music from the period.

A huge thank you to Andy, Sue, Julie and Tim, along with Devon Music Education Hub for another incredible opportunity for our young people!

Come and join our next session on October 12th - message us for more details!

Great to be back at the Devon County Show with Devon Music Education Hub! We thoroughly enjoyed performing Go The Distance in the sun alongside our friends from Devon County Youth Brass Band! We were also delighted to perform a world premiere of ‘A Devonshire Holiday’ from the pen of Ryan Linham - Composer/Arranger composed especially for the occasion.

Well done to all our members - a fab performance and great to see so many of you performing so well in other ensembles too!
