Humming birds in Mexico 🇲🇽 Since being a little girl I’ve wanted to see humming birds in real life. I was going to look for a place to see some when I arrived in Mexico. Then they came to see me 🙏 outside my bedroom window and from the roof top every day for a week in Oaxaca 💚 If I talk about this I cry. So incredibly grateful for these precious visitors. Will remember this always.

I had the privilege & honour of being invited to join in with a group of wonderful women at their weekly textile group. Such beautiful handwork & I saw a huipil being made completely by hand. Frida & Diego’s studio at Casa Azul, Coyoacan, Mexico City 💚 I was mesmerised by the light, the trinkets, the brushes & pigments, the well worn globe and most of all the personalised books in the cases. What I’d give to take a peek in those! ✔️

Frida Kahlo’s home museum is filled with lots of original artworks. The first one on this reel I’ve never seen before, even in a book. The one with her wearing a green skirt was on her easel, unfinished, when she died. There’s one in here of Diego’s, can you spot it? 💚
