Nearly 15 years ago, Middle Weight Theatre Company performed its first play, 'Soundbite', a show based on the historic Apollo 11 moon landing of 1969.

This play was where it all started for us - writing, rehearsing, touring - and so the topic of space exploration has always had a special symbolism for MWTC.

And so watching the crew of the Artemis II explore parts of the moon that have never been witnessed before has been really quite fabulous.

It's been really cool - particularly in this era of seemingly unending conflict and tension - that this moon mission seems to have not only rekindled a global interest in space exploration and Lunar travel, but has given us a chance to look at people and be inspired; it's reminded us that we are agents of bravery, innovation and progress - and figureheads for hope.

The incredible astronauts on board the Artemis II voyaged further from Earth than any human before them: THIS IS HISTORICAL - and isn't it nice to see something in the media that is unprecedented in a positive sense?

Although when it comes to adventure, the Artemis crew aren't the only pioneers. When we went to perform Soundbite at the Fringe Festival, we had to get a train from Exeter to Edinburgh, which was also a pretty hefty feat of human resilience and courage. I think the toilet was broken on that train too, so guys, we felt your pain.

Congratulations.
