What an explosive evening at The Lamb Inn, Sandford ()!

First up, got the crowd whipped up into a frenzy, playing some awesome covers but also giving us a sneak peak of the song they'll record over the summer.

To continue and close, the mighty playing the longest show I think I've ever seen them play. A whole host of songs in their repertoire now, including their latest single 'Chariot' (out on Friday 5th June) and some well known covers, they played for about 2 hours...the crowd literally wouldn't let them leave! 😆

OH, DOUGLAS AND EMILE LEVINE

A very warm but pleasant evening, where I had the pleasure to meet and listen to Dom (better known as ) and Emile ().

Emile opened the show. His soft, soothing vocals and guitar picking had the audience watching intently. A few covers, including Neil Young and Jason Isobel but mainly he played his own pieces, one of which, was only written the night before! One to watch.

Oh, Douglas then brought the whole evening to a close. Some great stories in-between, set up each song perfectly and it was so easy to feel a part of the songs he was singing about. Well rounded vocals and the amazing guitar playing was complex (in a good way), beautiful and played to perfection.

Thanks so much to all who came out to enjoy this great evening of live music.

We’re kicking off a new grassroots gig series supported by Arts Council England at The Town Mill with a brilliant night of live music!

Bristol indie rock power trio The Vive headline, known for their high-energy sets, original material, and indie covers (Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Stone Roses), with past shows at Boardmasters, Sea Change and The Exchange.

Support comes from Jamming Station legends Drawer full o' Lemons, a Devon-based youth band playing original songs and eclectic covers.

This is the first in our new grassroots music programme at The Town Mill showcasing emerging talent and supporting our youth music work.
