As we near the completion of our evaluation for the inaugural Open Door Festival at Exeter Phoenix, it is time to say goodbye to our two hard working interns from University of Exeter, Hannah Grace Elvidge and Martha Mercer.
Hannah studied Exercise and Sports Science and is interested in a career in event management. As Assistant Producer she was mentored by Sarah, working on the day-to-day organisation and delivery of the festival, communicating with artists to ensure the smooth running of the schedule, technical process and that evaluation materials were created, distributed and collated.
Marketing Intern, Martha studied English Literature and was mentored by Grace. She was responsible for communicating with artists and organisations to capture and produce content for the social media campaign for the festival.
Both Hannah and Martha also played an integral role in creating the welcoming atmosphere of the Festival, supporting artists taking part throughout the day, guiding them through technical rehearsals and making sure that they had everything they needed so that they were ready for their performances and workshops.
It has been a real pleasure working with them both and we wish them all the best in their future roles.
