A true maverick and nonconformist, Hockney was a groundbreaking figure in the pop art movement, celebrated for over seven decades of innovative work. His vibrant landscapes of Yorkshire, sun-soaked scenes from Los Angeles, and intimate iPad portraits exemplify his artistic depth and versatility. Hockney’s embrace of diverse techniques and digital art in his later years further cements his status as one of the most significant British artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Sidmouth School of Art celebrates his remarkable journey and the joy he brought to so many through his groundbreaking artistry. Thank you, David! ♥️🎨

Coco is busy getting creative with a new twin installation in our telephone box mini museums. ☎️☎️ This fresh display features excerpts from “The Power of Place,” an anthology, curated by Word Kitchen, beautifully capturing the prose and poetry inspired by the stunning East Devon landscape, it showcases the unique voices of published authors, first-time poets, children, and older individuals. Through humour, nostalgia, and deep reflections, these works remind us of our connections to the natural world.
