✨ WHAT AN AMAZING EVENING! ✨
We are still absolutely buzzing after last night’s event at voco Zeal, Exeter Science Park! 🥂🎶

After all the planning, designing and preparation that went into creating our sustainable display, there was something really special about standing back and watching people actually enjoy it. 💛

Throughout the evening, guests were stopping to take photographs and selfies in front of our display — and at one point it even became part of the dance floor, with people dancing away in front of it! 💃🕺✨

That was such a lovely moment for us. We spend so much time thinking about how something will look, but seeing people interacting with it, having fun and making memories around something we created made all that work completely worthwhile.
The turnout was fantastic, the atmosphere was brilliant and the DJ was absolutely amazing — the music definitely had everyone up and dancing! 🎧🎶

A huge thank you to voco Zeal for giving Riot Events the opportunity to be part of such a fantastic evening and allowing us to show what we can create while working with the hotel's eco-friendly and low-emissions values. 🌿

And the good news is… these events will be returning in 2027! 👀🥂

If you didn't make it this time, we would genuinely recommend keeping an eye out for the next ones. Great music, a brilliant atmosphere, drinks, dancing and such a lovely setting — definitely one to put on your list for next year!

🌿 FROM AI CONCEPT… TO THE REAL THING! 🌿

What a moment for Riot Events! ✨

After months of planning, designing, sourcing and carefully bringing every little detail together, today we got to see our original concept become a reality at Voco Zeal Hotel, Exeter Science Park.

And this installation came with an extra-special challenge. 🌱

Voco Zeal is an eco-friendly, low-emissions hotel, so it was really important that our design complemented those values. This meant carefully considering the materials we used and finding ways to create that WOW factor without relying on traditional event décor.

We chose beautiful paper honeycomb decorations, alongside carefully selected dried and preserved florals, grasses and foliage that could form part of a more sustainable, reusable display. We then added delicate LED fairy lights for just that little extra sparkle. ✨

From choosing the colour palette and sourcing the honeycombs, to selecting the florals and working out how every element would sit together on the hoop, there has been so much happening behind the scenes to bring this installation to life.

And seeing the finished result today… we are absolutely over the moon! 💛

The beautiful earthy tones, soft grey and vibrant yellow work perfectly with the natural surroundings of the hotel and create a gorgeous statement photo opportunity for today's Tipple on the Terrace event, 5pm–9pm.

This is exactly why we love what we do.
It isn't simply about decorating a space. It's about understanding the venue, the brief and the values behind an event — and then turning an idea into something people can actually stand in front of and enjoy.

We’ve been a little quiet on here …. suspicious, really. 👀

Turns out we’ve been busy finding out what happens when you tell Riot “no latex.”

Challenge accepted. 😏

No latex balloons. No traditional garlands. No playing it safe.

Instead we brought in paper honeycombs, dried & preserved foliage, reusable structures, ridiculous amounts of texture and a colour palette that reflects our clients corporate branding.

And this is where we ended up. 💛 it’s a stunner!

A completely latex-free, eco friendly Riot install — because apparently taking the balloons away from us just makes us find other things to cause trouble with.

This beauty is heading somewhere rather exciting very soon where she will be fully revealed … and there’s a little more to this story than we’re letting on just yet. 👀

🌸 The only flowers surviving this hosepipe ban… 🌸

Introducing our freestanding arch with daisy accents.

Fully customisable to suit any theme, colour palette and celebration.

And the best bit? Just like our custom photo frames, it’s held together using nothing but balloons, pressure and a little Riot magic… (okay, balloon engineering 😉).

No hidden framework.
No helium.
No tricks.
Just a whole lot of creativity.

Perfect for birthdays, baby showers, garden parties, weddings or any celebration that deserves something a little different.

This particular arch was created for an outdoor party and designed to be large enough for little (and not-so-little!) guests to walk underneath. Soft pastels, oversized daisies and a whole lot of summer joy… we think she’s a beauty. 🌸

🚀 Houston… we have a Birthday. 👽✨

This space-themed balloon tower was packed with planets, UFO’s, aliens, stars and a whole lot of intergalactic chaos.

From the hand-built planets to Bob the alien in his spaceship, every detail was designed to make this one feel completely out of this world. 🪐

We love creating pieces that go beyond a standard balloon tower and turn into something people explore and enjoy.

Bold. Bespoke. A little bit cosmic.

Now this is how you say welcome home. 🖤✨

We created this showstopping floor stack to welcome Myles home from a very long stretch away at work. We hope he has the best homecoming and we can’t wait to hear all about it!

Here we used a rich combination of navy, black and gold. Oversized WELCOME HOME lettering, personalised balloons, metallic stars and sweeping gold pearl details - creating a full statement piece that was perfect for an unforgettable surprise, but filled with lovely personal touches too.

A very special design for a very special homecoming. ⭐️
