Global Canvas is our celebrated annual international contest for young, aspiring artists.

The competition was a personal project and labour of love for our founder, the renowned artist and conservationist, David Shepherd. His playful nature always endeared him to children and his genuine enthusiasm for young artistry saw Global Canvas launched in 2004.

The competition has grown in reach and popularity ever since, with entries often spanning 50 countries or more.

Titled “Under Pressure” The Barometer Of Life was the first entry awarded .
So proud of this group that show such dedication , determination & passion for Art & Conservation.

The club was co founded with Alaska when she joined the school for a year before she went to High School … and she still comes to assist me , when she’s not revising !
On a day that not only would have been David Shepherd 93rd Birthday but also marks the 40 th Year Anniversary of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation

It’s very poignant to be part of that legacy !
