Happy summer soltice. It's going to be a hot hot week for us here in the UK. I will be avoiding it the best I can with early mornings and a nice siesta.

This print hangs in my hallway is one of my own illustrations called 'Late Summer' and available to buy as a Limited edition fine art giclee print.

Note that this frame is my own upcycled one, but there are options to buy it framed on my website too.

Go to the link in my bio.

Thanks as always

I have grown up watching David Attenborough's nature documentaries. And it has been his enthusiasm and love of the natural world that inspired me and helped me grow my love for it too. My work is predominantely inspired by nature whether its plants, flora and fauna or any of our amazing animals on our beautiful planet.

Happy 100th birthday David Attenborough. We love you!

I've been doing this....training in horticulture for the past year or so 🌿🌷πŸͺ±.

I wanted a way to support my art practise that didn't mean putting all the pressure on my art to pay bills. Whether this is the answer.... I don't know. But I knew I had to try it.

I put my art making on hold for a year because I was working for garden clients and training at the same time, which meant 5 - 6 days a week at times. I was knackered! Sleeping more and napping lots.

But slowly my body got used to it, and I completed year 1 of my training

This is only the first step, and I will reveal more soon. But I'm excited and inspired by it all. My phone is full of plant pics and garden book inspo. I've been doodling garden plans on scraps of paper and coming up with planting ideas for clients.

Take that first tiny step to get going: Open the sketchbook, clear the desk, paint that line, stick that bit onto another bit. Curiosity will take care of the rest.
