Bio:
I was born in Bulgaria, but I moved with my family to the United Kingdom a couple of years ago, where my cake decorating career began. I've been a hobby baker since 2011 and it is my passion from then on. At the beginning I baked mainly for my family and friends, but with the years passing by, I took the decision to make it a career. I am really in love with what I do and for me it is not only a job, but a way to see the happiness in the eyes of my customers, when they receive their orders. Every next cake is a new challenge, and I put a piece of my heart in each of them. Last November I took my first attempt at Cake International Birmingham and I've won a Bronze and Merit awards for my pieces, which was a great start for me.

To All of you, amazing artists! Thank you! ❤️

Bio:
Coming from a background in fine art as a portrait artist, I founded Emma Jayne Cake Design in 2012 having decided to use my skills in art in a different form. I started out designing celebration cakes and slowly moved into Bespoke Wedding Cakes, I soon found out where my passion lay.

With the business growing, I opened a workshop in 2012. Here I started teaching sugarcraft classes, as well as travelling throughout the UK and Europe teaching.

2013 I won gold with my Cath Kidston handbag cake at Cake International.

2014 I created “Neytiri” from the film Avatar and exhibited it at Cake International Birmingham and London.

I was nominated and reached the final four, for Best International Wedding Cake Designer for Cake Masters magazine 2014.

2015 I exhibited a six-foot model of “Maleficent” from the sleeping beauty story at Cake International show Birmingham and London.

2016 was a busy year teaching home and abroad and in May I was awarded as one of the top ten international cake artists at the New York cake show which was a huge honour and was presented with the award by Lisa Mansour at the NEC Cake International show.

September at the amazing Renshaw Academy I taught the International guests using various Renshaw products and also demonstrated at the Renshaw stand at the Cake International show as well as exhibiting Swan lake and being part of the Caketastics collaboration.

2017 I recreated a life-size Mak Tumang Wedding gown for the Wedding dresses through the ages collaboration at Cake International London and also created a life-size “War Horse” sugar sculpture for Cake International November.

I had the honor of being awarded by Rosie Mazumder the Editor of Cake Masters, Cake artist of the year 2017 at the Cake Masters awards night as well as being a finalist for the best showpiece for my Wedding Gown exhibit created for Cake International.

November 2018 I created the “Trapeze Artist Annie” life-size exhibit for the Cake Masters stand in association with Renshaw for Cake International show the UK.

I was also final four for best showpiece at Cake Masters awards 2018 with my life-size War Horse exhibit created for Cake International.

2019 I recreated Iorek Byrnison a lifesize Polar Bear from Phillip Pullman's book “His Dark Materials” for an exhibit at Cake International. I was a Judge for the cake masters awards and was awarded Cake Hero award at the Cake Masters awards night which was a huge honour

I am an Ambassador for Renshaw, Rainbowdust colours, Sugarpress by Crafty designs, and Clairella cakes.

I still continue to make bespoke wedding and celebration cakes, running my own business and have had a wonderful time traveling and teaching sugarcraft over the world, and have met some amazing people as well as making friends with some of the most talented cake artists
