JUDGE ANNOUNCEMENT 💚🩷

We are delighted to welcome Chloe - Jo Byrnes to the judging panel for Viva Vocal Season 2.

A graduate of the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, where she trained on a full scholarship in Musical Theatre and Dance, Chloe-Jo graduated early to join the West End cast of Mamma Mia!

Her professional career has seen her perform as a Dance Captain, Swing, Understudy and in Principal Roles across theatre, television and live events. Her credits include Big Night of Musicals, The Voice (ITV), Miranda Hart: My Such Fun Celebration, BBC Children in Need, This Morning, Dancing On Ice, Loose Women, alongside numerous pantomime productions and performances with some of the UK’s most recognisable names.

Alongside performing, Chloe-Jo is a highly respected teacher, choreographer and creative, with over 15 years’ experience working with performers across the UK and internationally. She holds teaching qualifications with IDTA, ISTD, NCDTA and Acrotrix, has guided students into the West End and IDTA Awards, and regularly choreographs for competitions, productions and large-scale events.

Having grown up competing herself, Chloe-Jo understands exactly what it means to step onto a stage and perform under pressure. Her wealth of professional experience, passion for nurturing young performers and commitment to constructive, encouraging feedback make her a fantastic addition to our Season 2 judging panel.

At Viva Vocal, we are committed to creating an authentic performing experience where young performers are encouraged, challenged and inspired by professionals who continue to shape the industry today. Every member of our judging panel is carefully selected not only for their exceptional credentials, but for the knowledge, integrity and passion they bring to nurturing the next generation of performers. We are incredibly proud that so many respected industry professionals are choosing to be part of the Viva journey, helping us raise the standard of what a performing arts competition can be.

How INCREDIBLE were our Wicked workshops on Sunday with thank you for inspiring all of the students so much!!! 💚🩷

Exciting news for everyone - we are thrilled to say that following the success of these we will now be hosting specialist industry led masterclasses and workshop days across each academic year which will be open to absolutely everyone. Focusing specifically on singing, acting and performance. Giving budding performers out there some authentic training experience to work with professionals like Billy, to enhance their performance skills and to leave feeling inspired and a more confident performer than when they walked in.

Wow… where do I even begin?

What. A. Day!

Thank you to every performer, parent, teacher, supporter, adjudicator and member of our production team who made our very first Viva Vocal Final so unforgettable.

Yesterday wasn’t just about crowning our first ever Viva Vocal Champions. It was the culmination of a dream that has been many years in the making.

Having grown up performing and now teaching the next generation, I always felt there was something missing for young singers, actors and musical theatre performers. I wanted to create authentic, professional, industry-led opportunities where young people could perform on a big stage, use live microphones, receive meaningful feedback and experience what this incredible industry can really feel like.

That dream became Viva Vocal.

At it's heart, Viva has never been about trophies or medals. They are wonderful to celebrate, but my mission is to help young performers grow in confidence, develop their craft and leave believing in themselves a little more than when they arrived. And I actually saw that happen yesterday! Thank you all of you for trusting in me! 🫶🏻

Our first ever Viva Vocal Final is just 2 days away now!

We are thrilled to be welcoming back to our judging panel and he is also delivering two fantastic Wicked themed workshops on Sunday.

Places are £15.00 per student for finalists and £30.00 for non-finalists.

We have just 5 places left on our earlier workshop and just one place left for our senior workshop. Be quick if you want to grab those last places!
