After a couple of happy years at The Crown in Belton, we have reluctantly decided that the average noise in the pub has risen too much, and we are returning to The Red Lion in Epworth from Monday 2nd February 2026. Thanks to Nadine, Lynn and John at The Crown for making us so welcome!

We are planning to start a little late tonight- the pub was very noisy last week till 8.30 but showed signs of settling down after that so we will aim to start around then! Hope it’s a little quieter this week! Hope you are all enjoying the holiday festivities!

As many of you know- Mick Keown, our friend, member of the club and bass and guitar player died last week after a short illness. We will miss him! His funeral is on Friday 19th December at 1pm at St Oswald’s Church Crowle, followed by burial at Crowle cemetery. His friends are welcome to attend the funeral and the wake!

We are saddened to learn that a stalwart member of Epworth Folk and Acoustic Club, Chris Booth died yesterday after an illness.

Chris not only regaled us with wonderful Rock n Roll with brilliant jazz guitar but was a good mate of us all.

Here’s a few photos of him from when we were based in Jinksys’s Wine bar, both on his own and playing with Albert. Also, a photo of the stage from when he put on a charity concert in Haxey a few years ago and invited us all to perform.
