On behalf of Derrylin Amateur Dramatic Society, we are so proud to announce that our Director, Debbie Murphy has been Shortlisted and a finalist for The Impartial Reporter Community Champions Arwards 🎉

Debbie has been lucky enough to be selected as a finalist in the Community Champion awards for the Category “Arts Champion of the Year” 🏆

Debbie has volunteered to Direct for Derrylin Amateur Dramatic Society since 2018, which she has successfully produced many plays including “Widows Paradise”, “Maiden Aunt” “Cupid Wore Skirts” and “Abit of Land🎭

Debbie always wanted to make sure our local and rural areas in Fermanagh were noticed for their Drama Groups by producing “Derrylin Drama Festival” in 2021 which showcased a variety of different types and styles of drama and included a variety of different drama groups, singers and perfomers! Since then, she has also been producing Candle light Cabarets in Aughkillymaude and Kinawley with Kinawley Drama Society 🎭

Recently, Debbie had produced 3 sell out nights of “Calendar Girls” in the Ardhowen Theatre in aid of our local Fermanagh Charity SWELL! Debbie’s hard work and attention to detail towards the production helped elevate the show in so many ways! With also being able to hand over £10,000 pounds to our chosen charity SWELL (Supported We Live Life) which is a charity very close to all of our hearts 🧡🤍🩵

For Debbie, it doesn’t stop there 🙈 She is involved in Knockninny Credit Union Ltd Committee, Knockninny Parish on the Pastoral Committee which has helped start Derrylin Choir in 2023 and recently bringing back Altar Servers, her involvement as secretary in St Ninnidhs and their events! Safe to say if you think you need help, Debbie is always there 💞

We could not be any prouder of you and the work you have done to help us grow as a society! Your hard work, dedication and commitment to our community is being noticed and appreciated! Thank You 👏

Debbie will attend the award ceremony on Thursday 3rd September in the Killyhevlin! We wish her all the best 🎉

🏘🏚 Come out and support Derrylin & Teemore Heritage Society tomorrow Sat 20th June from 11am. Guest Speaker at 1pm for the Shops Exhibition. Another amazing fundraiser in Derrylin and alot of work put in creating this exhibition🏡🏚

Derrylin and Teemore Heritage Society invites you to our Old Shops Talk and Exhibition.
🛍Join us on Saturday 20th June from 11am to 4pm in St. Ninnidh’s Parish Centre.
The exhibition will feature photographs, memorabilia and stories from days gone by.
⏺️At 1pm, enjoy a talk from Pat Blake, Edward McGovern, and Mary McGoldrick, who will share their memories and insights into the shops and characters that shaped Derrylin, Teemore & the surrounding areas.
✅️All voluntary donations received on the day will be shared between REVIVE-ICU and Altnagelvin ICU.

Cheque Presentation: £10,000 🌟

Wow! We are just over the moon that we, a small amateur dramatic society, were able to give £10,000 pounds towards SWELL! You really have helped us make a difference 🌟

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Genevieve and the hard working volunteers at SWELL for letting them be our chosen charity! They have provided our community with support and courage as families go through some difficult battles! 🩵

With cancer being diagnosed every day, we want to give back to this volunteer-led charity who not only help survivors, but help families and provide “social medicine” whether it is just a cup of tea and chat, therapies and counselling or joining the men’s breakfast club!🤍

If you have a minute in the day, or during the week, we would definitely recommend checking out this fabulous centre and facilities as well as get a feel and understanding for the work they do! They are looking for volunteers to help either in the SWELL Preloved Store or the centre itself! 🧡

WOW… we are never usually stuck for words but...... OH MY GOD......we are so overwhelmed with the support for our production of Calendar Girls.

Thank you for helping us to raise the profile of SWELL🌻 and the wonderful work they do.

We still can’t believe that our little rural drama group have had 3 SELL OUT nights in the Ardhowen Theatre 😳

We want to thank Anna, Melissa, Mick, Malachy and all the staff and volunteers for their support and guidance in our show journey and adding that layer of professional polish to our performance 🌻

We also want to thank our audio/visual technician Joe Gunn. The gentleman behind our amazing photo shoots and calendar shots. We wouldn’t have been able to produce half the show without you Joe! You mastered your task with professionalism and utter respect to our brave ladies and elevated our social media presence 🌻

To our cast... OUTSTANDING 👏

Your hard work, dedication and commitment illuminated the Ardhowen stage. We are soooo proud of every cast member. Your energy and talent is made for broadway! No matter how big or small your part, you have left nothing on that stage. You "owned it" 🌻

To our crew, whether you were a set builder, working backstage, cast dresser or front of house! We thank everyone who have travelled far and wide to help us at rehearsals, performances and managing our calendars and raffles! Your sleekness and attention to detail helped elevate our production... you know who you are 🫵 We can’t thank you enough.
