A collection of 3D printed fossils I’ve made for Highfields Littleport Academy School, as part of the ‘Inspired By Nature’ Project with and

These fossils are of species of plants and dinosaurs which would have lived in this area of the Fens, roughly 150-300millions years ago.

They help to imagine how this landscape has changed and evolved across the deep timescales of the planet and help us to consider the need to look after it for the future.

Some of these fossils will be on display at the upcoming ‘Sensing Nature’ Exhibition which opens on Friday 1st - Sunday 24th March.

Off to a brilliant start on the ‘Inspired by Nature’ project with , Highfields Littleport Academy and nature reserve.

Together, we have been making creative responses to the changing landscapes of the Fen and the diverse range species which call it home.

Handling fossils from helped to introduce the idea of the deep time history of Wicken Fen and the fascinating prehistoric species that lived here millions of years ago.

Great to be working with on this too !

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION ✨

‘’ The 'Transformative Nature' exhibition features five diverse artists exploring the interplay of individual and collective practices in art, science, education, nature, and the sacred. Kaitlin Ferguson explores the deep time scales and finite nature of the planet’s resources, utilising waste streams as possible material sources. Holly Sandiford weaves cosmic interconnectedness, merging outer space with microscopic life. Genevieve Rudd fosters nature connection amidst the Earth Crisis through community art. Rachel Wright transcends polarisation, exploring the interconnected nature of the world, whilst Jacques Nimki delves into the hidden and forgotten.

The exhibition sparks a conversation about our individual and collective roles and responsibilities, exploring how seemingly conflicting approaches can unite to form a positive impact on the fragility of our existence. ‘’

A series of of sculptures made as a conversational response to Lucie Rie’s ‘Ceramic Button Collection’, extracting and reimagining a visual language into abstract forms.

Reflecting on the collaboration between an artist and their tools, these maquettes are 3D printed from a composite filament of recycled wood from industry, in turn repurposing waste and diverting it from landfill, in the context of a changing planet.

I am delighted to announce I am going to be artist in residence Kettle's Yard] for a new community project called 'CoLAB' this summer.

CoLAB will see us work with local communities and researchers at the University of Cambridge. Dr Louise Hickman at the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy, is investigating how people with a diverse range of needs physically access arts and culture in the city and how this will inform the future of work. By exploring this topic creatively and with local voices, CoLAB will produce new data that responds to the city’s priorities.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be making-over the Clore Learning Studio and turning it into a creative laboratory for any and everyone to visit.

You are invited to join us at Kettle’s Yard this summer for activities, talks, workshops and more.

Details about upcoming events, workshops and open days will be announced soon on the Kettle's Yard] website and social media.

My 3D prints made from chalk, waste coffee grounds and clay are on display for the ‘Extraction, Loss and Restoration’ exhibition this summer as part of

The exhibition is on until 30th September and features works from a variety of artists exploring international and regional extraction industries.

My prints draw on research I did last summer on my residency at the gallery, exploring how surplus quarried chalk from the Norfolk can be repurposed into a biomaterial for printing degradable art materials.

🗻✨My Kilimanjaro Climb in Memory of my Auntie Marina for ✨🗻

After four years of postponing attempts and the pandemic, I have finally been able to reschedule my climb of Mt Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, for the wonderful charity this coming December.

Four and a half years ago I lost my amazing Auntie Marina to a life long battle with depression. She was the most wonderful and special woman, and Mind was a charity close to her heart which she fundraised for.

To follow my journey please check out and If you are able to donate anything for this worthy cause, no matter how small, my link is in my bio or can be found here:

✨ Short Course: Introduction to 3D Printing with Biomaterials - applications now open ! ✨

I’m running a free course for STEAMhouse which is about learning how to 3D print using sustainable materials made from waste.

The course will include two online sessions, an in-person day workshop at STEAMhouse (which will include a chance to use a 3D printer) and a box of specialist materials to support your at-home learning and research.

Applications close on Sunday 22nd May

My first waste chalk print ✨

After experimenting with different recipes, I’ve managed to find the right combination of waste chalk (calcium carbonate) and stoneware clay to produce a 3D print.

Next step, is to experiment using a variety of other natural binders, to mix with the chalk to see how the material recipes can be developed further.
