Due to the Amber weather warning from Saturday evening, the National Trust for Scotland will close the Haddo Estate for safety reasons. As a result, we’ve unfortunately had to make some changes to this weekend’s Festival of Darkness programme.

Enter the strange and unsettling world of Häxan: The Esoteric Cut… 🧙‍♀️

This October, experience a landmark of silent horror cinema like never before, as North East Arts Touring (NEAT) and Haddo Arts bring this extraordinary film to Haddo House Hall as part of the Festival of Darkness.

Exploring witchcraft, superstition and the European witch trials, this specially edited version of Benjamin Christensen’s 1922 film is brought to life with a live, specially commissioned score by pianist Neil Birse and saxophonist Matthew Kilner 🎹🎷

A memorable day of music at Haddo! 🎵
