Stop over-complicating your drum bus. 🥁
Most of the time, "that" sound comes down to two things: elite sample selection and subtle processing. If you start with a weak sample, no amount of plugins will save it.
Here is my 3-step workflow for punchy drums:
1️⃣ Select: Start with a sample that already hits.
2️⃣ Clean: Subtle EQ to control
3️⃣ Enhance: Light compression and saturation for character.
The goal isn't to change the sound—it's to highlight it. Keep it simple.

ICU: Intensive Care Unit; a hospital department providing treatment for patients with life-threatening conditions requiring constant monitoring and support.

The warning came in Monitus. It was ignored. Delirium followed.

This is where it leads.

ICU captures the aftermath—the point where the damage is done and there’s no more escaping it. Cold, heavy, and unrelenting, the track leans into that clinical, high-pressure atmosphere where everything hangs in the balance. The chaos hasn’t disappeared, it’s just been forced into something tighter, darker, and far more suffocating.

No escape. No clarity. Just the consequence of not listening.

Delirium (Latin): Madness, frenzy, or a state of unrestrained chaos.

Where Monitus was the warning, Deliirium is what happens when it’s ignored.

This track dives headfirst into the aftermath—the point where tension snaps and control slips. Dark, erratic, and unrelenting, it trades the distant signal for something far more immediate and unstable. The atmosphere is heavier, the energy more volatile, pulling you deeper into the haze rather than guiding you out of it.

If Monitus was the beacon in the fog, Deliirium is being lost inside it.

Monitus (Latin): A warning, admonition, or advice; the act of reminding.

This track captures that heavy, looming feeling of a Monitus—a final warning echoing through the haze. Inspired by the low, haunting resonance of a foghorn, the soundscapes here act as a beacon for those lost in the grey. It’s about the tension between the danger you can’t see and the signal that guides you home.
