This Friday, 12 June, the New Town Stomper will make another appearance at the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club.

The band present uplifting Rags, Trad and Old-Time Jazz and Blues from the 1900s to the 1930s. Amongst deep dives into the treasure trove of masterpieces, the ensemble also deliver old favourites as well as original tunes done with solid reverence to the Hot Roots and Pop music that became known as Jazz.

Expect a good range of Jazz tunes suitable for dancing a mix of Swing dances, fast and slow, some Foxtrot, Jive and maybe even some Blues

This Friday, 5 June, our LINDY HOP HEAVEN will feature the amazing Dick Lee's Jammy Piece!

You can look forward to great classic Jazz tunes, played jam-style session. The music will be specifically suitable for dancing Lindy Hop as well as Foxtrot and Jive.

The band line-up for the evening is Dick Lee on reeds, Chris Greive on trombone, Phil Adams on guitar, Owen MacDonald on double bass and Dave Swanson on drums.

The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club will go super big on this Friday, 29 May: We're presenting The Sound of Seventeen Big Band, a 17-piece ensemble led by Nick Gould!

Based in Edinburgh, the band started originally as the Royal British Legion Big Band and has, over the past years, appeared at several Jazz festivals, including the North Sea Jazz Festival and those in Montreux, Cork, Derry and Edinburgh. Expect music from the well-known Big Band repertoire, ranging from the Swing Era (Glenn Miller etc.) to more modern sounds - but always swinging!

This Friday, 22 May, the amazing Joys of Swing will play at the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club, presenting a cornucopia of popular Swing and Jazz standards. Expect a splendid choice of tunes, tempos and genres and great performances from outstanding musicians!

The music will be particularly suitable for dancing Lindy Hop, Jive and Foxtrot.
