Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival show Applications are now open for Fringe 2026!

We will be back in Edinburgh in 2026 from August 6th to 30th

Show can be free and unticketed, or 'Pay what you can' ticketed, and we have 16 venues and 30 performance spaces around town ranging from 20 seats to 150 seats

If you are a performer looking to bring a show to the Brighton Fringe next year...

Laughing Horse has just opened applications for the Brighton Fringe in 2026!

Next year we will be running 6 performance spaces across four venues in central Brighton for May 1st to 31st.

Programming will start in 2 weeks’ time, in order to get as many shows into slots before the discount programme registration deadline (which is Dec 3rd) - So do get your app in as soon as you can to be in with the first wave of programming.

Fantastic to see one of our favourite comics and actors at the Free Fest Craig Shaynak has two new children’s books out, available on Amazon in the U.K. - and suitable for children ages 3-7.

Is it too early to think about 2026?

We don’t think so and can’t wait to do it all again next August!

We’ll be back next year from August 6th to 30th - so get the dates in your diary for another year packed with our Fringe shows.

Thank you everyone, it's been a great Fringe - but sadly all things come to an end.

We look forward to seeing you all again in August 2026 in Edinburgh!

(and don't forget May in Brighton, or the team travelling out to Adelaide in February)

It was a bumper year, with bar and PWYC sales up on last year and a great buzz around town, so we are all looking forward to another fabulous, fun and free Fringe Festival again in 2026!

Remembering an old friend today with a smile, as we put Lydia’s ‘best person’ award in its new permanent home, behind the bar at The Counting House. We’re on the third Fringe without her, and now she can continue keep an eye on us and all of our performers at the Fringe each year, as she always used to.
