you all know we do a lot of colour matching here - if you've been in to check your colours at any point or seen test strips lying on the worktop then you might twig what's going on here...

we scanned and colour matched several original works from Lyndsay Fergus and when she came in to collect her prints she delighted us by weaving all her test strips together. we've said for a while that we'd love to see a creation made from test strips, lo and behold our wish came true yesterday!

looks pretty cool, we think. had to share!

new from Felicity Inkpen (Fliss)!

we're always happy to see new additions to felicity's leith series come into the studio, particularly as they're scenes we know well but with the inkpen flourish! felicity works on board for these pieces which is a pleasure for us to scan, and getting those warm tones just right during the colour matching process is particularly important to us. there's nothing quite like that hazy early morning/late evening glow, which felicity expertly brings to life in her paintings.

we're lucky to have some prints from this series in our fine art print shop if you're interested!

wrapping up prints for Eva Snedden • Illustrator and printmaker! eva's inviting colour palette and mark making produces artwork you feel you can jump right into and have your own adventure. we enjoyed hearing about eva's personal connection with skye, and you can certainly feel it through the artwork which has a homely charm. these lovely prints are heading off to be stocked in portree, skye. thanks eva!

sometimes we get the opportunity to see our prints out in the world, and it happened last night when we were thrilled to be in attendance at the private view of Craigo's exhibition at shop.withnoname.

the exhibition showcases craig's latest body of work which is a hazy, dreamy light fest, alongside some other brilliant features such as ceramics from and work from Dennis Purcell. the opening night, organised by Replik, featured special guest Eleanor Morton in discussion with craig about art, comedy and the risks and challenges that artists face when presenting their work to the world. they wove a brilliant thread between the different kinds of art we all encounter daily, and particularly during this fringe season.

it's always a treat for us to be invited along to exhibitions and we are proud to play a small part in an artist's vision.

craig's exhibition is on now until 27th august.

we are lucky to be printing for several artists attending Pittenweem Arts Festival this year, including fabulous Liz Maclarty Jones. managed to snap a couple of pics of her prints while we were packing them up.

liz's work is stand-out with her distinctive mark making and colour palette. it's hugely satisfying for us to see them looking just as excellent in print as the real thing. we're always delighted to print for liz and it's even better knowing they're heading up to pittenweem to be part of the festival.

for all the cabbage lovers...

susan's (Susan M White) january king cabbage is possibly the most admired artwork we have on the wall in the studio. if you've been thinking about having one for yourself, it might help to know that (if you ask nicely) the artist might just pop in and personally sign your print.

we had susan in this morning doing just that!

we were privileged to create a number of reproductions of these pieces from LIz Work 'objects of japan' series. these artworks feature the domesticity of the japanese home on a backdrop of bold colours and design. there's a sense of calm and harmony to these pieces which we certainly felt while they were with us in the studio.

you can see these and lots more at the prism exhibition at Dovecot Studios, hosted by Paintbox School of Art, Art School East Lothian. it starts tonight and is on until sunday (28th) june. highly recommend!

we were delighted to print for Karen Hadjitofi ahead of the Paintbox School of Art, Art School East Lothian 'prism' exhibition at Dovecot Studios!

what we really enjoy about karen's work is that the viewer is able to appreciate its elements both at a macro and micro level. stand back and you've got strong, bold geological structures. move closer and you'll enjoy fine, near tactile texture and a delicate balance of colour. they looked brilliant in print. swipe through for a look at some close ups!

the exhibition will open on thursday (tomorrow) 25th june and is open daily between 26th-28th june.

and many other talented artists are exhibiting at gallery under the theme of 'overtime'. the exhibition explores how work, often unseen, impacts creative output and energy. the unseen labour of creating art while balancing work, financial and other pressures is the undertone of the exhibition.

we were delighted to print these works for keith which are on show this weekend. last day to view the exhibition is tomorrow (sunday 3rd may). thanks keith!
