Established in 1954, EGTG presents a versatile programme of challenging contemporary work and crowd-pleasing classics. Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group [SCIO] SC054270

'The Grads' was founded in 1954 by some Edinburgh University alumni who were former members of the University Dramatic Society. Since then, the original members have been joined or replaced by fresh generations of talent. The University connection has been retained, though, and we still meet in the Grads Association rooms at 18 Buccleuch Place.

"The comedy is heavily influenced by Blackadder and Monty Python ... I think that perfectly captures Gogol’s original tone while bringing it into the 21st Century."

Dead Souls Director Hannah Bradley Croall spoke to the Vile Arts about bringing Reballato's script to the stage for the first time, comedy influences, and why Gogol's satire is still relevant today.
