Curate-It Fellowship Programme Continues!

Edinburgh International Film Festival and Curate-It offered seven fellowships to Scotland-based early career curators and they've curated a brilliant programme, responding to the 50th anniversary of the Women's Film Festival.

Curate-It is a new and accessible platform through which emerging curators can learn about the practices and processes of film curation.

The programme is for women screenwriters/filmmakers from Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda, who have a strong idea for a short film that can be developed and produced over the next year and screened during 📽️

Supported by British Council , this project is part of our 75th anniversary activity.

This year marks the 11th year of - providing emerging talent with an opportunity to learn from the world’s key film industry players.

At the centre of the EIFF Talent Lab is an invaluable afternoon of 1-2-1 advice and information sessions with experienced industry insiders, all with the aim of honing skills and building confidence within a new generation of filmmakers.

EIFF Talent Lab is funded through the PLACE Programme, a partnership between the Scottish Government - through Creative Scotland - the The City of Edinburgh Council and the Edinburgh Festivals and by the Tay Charitable Trust.

The 1-2-1 sessions are sponsored by CodeBase.

is delighted to announce an industry programme for 2022, exploring creativity and accessibility, with opportunities for filmmakers, curators and critics running alongside a focussed number of exclusive events and screenings!

�Our industry events will cover topics from support for artists with disabilities; to how innovative use of creative technology can put communities at the heart of storytelling; to considering the responsibilities of screenwriters when telling stories that aren’t from their own lived experience.

Our new delegate passes allow attendees to engage with wider cultural opportunities offered across the city, and from 16-19 Aug, we will host Evening Industry Networking get-togethers.

also includes a wider range of new and continuing programmes supporting and developing burgeoning talent across the film industry, including EIFF Talent Lab, EIFF Script Starter, Curate-It Fellowship, and more.

Industry pass registration is now open for Edinburgh International Film Festival 🙌

From 16 – 19 August, industry events and networking will take place each day. Access to films in the programme will be available throughout the festival with our new Industry Pass.

The new pass includes:
