Since Hidden Door began, volunteers have been at the heart of everything we do. What started as an artists coming together to open up forgotten spaces for creativity has grown into a festival powered by an incredible community.

From the team that works year round planning each edition of the festival, to every installation built, every audience member welcomed, every artist supported and every hidden corner brought to life - all this has been made possible by volunteers who give their time, energy and passion to the festival.

Hidden Door remains a volunteer-led charity, and that’s something we’re incredibly proud of. Every ticket sold and every pound raised goes straight back into the festival, helping us support artists, musicians, performers and creatives while ensuring they are fairly paid for their work.

To everyone who has volunteered with Hidden Door over the years — whether for a few hours or for many festivals — thank you. Your creativity, commitment and generosity have helped shape Hidden Door into what it is today.
This festival belongs to all of us.

— Hazel Johnson, Festival Director

Dream pop duo Sarah/Shaun popped into The Paper Factory to record this performance ahead of their show TONIGHT at Hidden Door 2026.

They craft woozy, romantic soundscapes that blur vintage pop sweetness with shimmering electronic experimentation.

🥘🚪 Meet Jorge.

By day (and night), he’s one of the people helping keep Hidden Door running smoothly as our Food Vendor Coordinator and part of the security team, making sure visitors, volunteers and traders are looked after throughout the festival.

When he’s not helping keep the site ticking over, you’ll find him serving up incredible Spanish flavours with House of Tapas.

From supporting our volunteers behind the scenes to helping feed hungry festival-goers, Jorge is one of the many people who make Hidden Door what it is.

If you spot him around The Paper Factory, be sure to say hello — and don’t leave without trying some tapas.

🎵🏭 We caught up with Aaron Main from as he took a wander through Hidden Door last night.

We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Paradise Palms Records once again to bring some incredible artists to The Paper Factory.

On Friday, don’t miss Makeness, serving up raw, fractured dance music that blends buzzing guitars, post-disco rhythms and soaring falsetto vocals into something uniquely his own.

Then on Saturday, prepare for the glorious chaos of Bad Gravy — the self-described “acid-funk orchestral cult” bringing their explosive mix of groove, brass and unfiltered energy to Hidden Door

Trust us, you won’t want to miss either. ✨
