As the 2026 Edinburgh International Children's Festival ends, we want to take a moment to thank our supporters for making it all possible 🧡

Thank you to our international funders, Performing Arts Netherlands, Swiss Cultural Fund UK, Consulate General of Ireland, Edinburgh, Institut français d'Ecosse, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Today’s Festival Highlight: ISLAND by Frozen Charlotte and Starcatchers ✨

This is a cosy, multi-sensory experience with original live music and dance created for you and your little one to share and enjoy together. Babies are free to explore the space with all their senses, while grown-ups take a moment to pause and reflect on the joys and challenges of new parenthood. Cosy up together as you drift away on a gentle journey of discovery.

Cheeky Zippy Violette is a riot of fun for audiences! From sea storms to lunar landings, Violette dives into her wild imagination with humour and tenderness to bring everyday objects to life, and draws the audience into accomplices in her whirlwind adventure.

This show deals with tough subjects of loss and grief through humour, imagination, and anarchy with lots of audience interaction. The performer's ability to engage with the audience authentically while guiding them on this journey is awe-inspiring! 👏
