The Herbal Spiral is a harmonious, self-regenerating space for plants and animals, enhancing biodiversity in the garden and supporting small-scale water retention. Built from stones, filled with soil, and planted with herbs, this structure creates microclimates that allow different types of herbs to grow in one place according to their specific needs. At the top, it will be dry and rocky, while at the base, it will be moist and shaded! π¦ππ
As we know, seven-year-olds think in images, making it difficult for them to grasp cause-and-effect relationships presented in the abstract language of logic within ecology lessons. Thatβs why throughout the process, we were accompanied by characters from a nature-based fairy tale! Tosiek, the lost snail, wise pollinators, and the talkative Mrs. Earthworm created an imaginary world in the children's minds, which we then translated into real-life construction through teamwork and muscle power. π€π»πͺ
The project was conducted in both Polish and English and was made possible thanks to a Business Gateway grantβthank you! π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ΅π±
