It is with a very heavy heart, that I announce that Rockchime will be permanently closing its doors as of 1st April 2026.
Developers have bought the building, it will inevitably follow the trend of construction in the area, and of course, be turn in to flats.
I have run this not-for-profit art space now for 15 years. People have come and gone and some artists have stayed for the full duration. It has been an incredible journey from opening until this date, with countless trials and tribulations. Some great music has been made, recorded, filmed and enjoyed, some great events had, countless great artists have been and gone and it has been a place for creation, experimenting and work for so many, across all manner of art forms, but alas the time has come to close the doors.
I would like to thank everyone who used the space over it’s long, but not long-enough lifetime, and all who contributed in any way, over the past 15 years.
Thanks,
Stay Cool,
Paul
P.S - I"d just like to add that I'm currently looking for a new place to set-up music stuff, I also require storage space, and potentially have music gear to sell (bc of lack of storage).
