Sooo it’s six months since Tartan Day and six months until the next… and this wee moment of anticipation from the NYC Parade line-up has us feeling the excitement all over again! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

As you may know, New York has been such a big inspiration for our Edinburgh Tartan Parade… and holds some pretty special memories for us!

Before Plaidurday is over, a wee shoutout from us! ❤️

‘Plaid’ can mean the checked fabric or pattern, but a fly plaid is the piece of tartan worn over the shoulder. And ours come with a particularly lovely story! Each plaid has been lovingly made by our talented Margaret MM The Celebrant, who does fabulous and glamorous like no other! 🙏🏻💫

P.S. We can’t wait for an occasion to wear our World Fair Trade Tartan plaids all together as a team… we haven’t managed it yet, with all those tartans and outfit choices to tempt us…✨

Back at Edinburgh’s City Chambers after our recent Tartan Parade launch and, you know us… we can never resist the sound of the bagpipes! 🎶😍

A heartfelt thank you to for inviting us to celebrate the Day of German Unity, and to piper Frank Dirksmeier for welcoming guests and kindly playing this wee performance for us to share. A lovely celebration of music and friendship across borders! ✨

The love for tartan is something else! 💙💚🧡💛🩵💜🩶🖤🤍🤎❤️ It’s been just over a week since registration opened for the 2027 Edinburgh Tartan Parade, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the response. So many of you are ready to come together and fill Edinburgh’s streets with tartan again!✨

What a launch it was! ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 An evening of coming together, watching our 2026 Parade film, announcing the fabulous Tony Singh MBE as our 2027 Grand Marshal, sharing ideas, chatting and looking ahead to everything still to come!

There was so much support and enthusiasm in the room.. but most of all, pure joy in celebrating the spirit of the Edinburgh Tartan Parade and everything it represents - community, culture, heritage, connection… and the list goes on! ❤️

The energy was amazing, the company was brilliant, and we couldn’t have wished for a better way to continue our journey towards 2027. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special! ✨

On the very day registration opened for the 2027 Edinburgh Tartan Parade, the , Robert Aldridge, announced our fabulous Grand Marshal for 2027…🥁Tony Singh MBE ! 🎉

Born and raised in Leith, Tony is a celebrated Scottish chef and television personality, known for his inventive fusion cooking, larger-than-life personality and charity work. We couldn’t imagine a more brilliant ambassador for Edinburgh and the spirit of our Parade!

Our heartfelt thanks to the Lord Provost for opening the launch so warmly and welcoming us to the magnificent City Chambers.

What a way to begin our journey towards 2027! ❤️
