B2 Bairns are taking bookings now for their weekly performing arts classes in The Heart of Newhaven.

Spaces are available from the new year!

Classes are held on a Saturday morning 1015 – 1115.

The classes will involve use of a range of drama techniques and established methods in order to explore themes and scenarios.

The classes aim to enhance confidence, teamwork, cooperation, promote an enjoyment of drama and develop skills in movement and voice.

You do not need any previous experience to sign up, just enthusiasm and commitment!

Classes will be held on a Saturday morning 0900 – 1000 (5-7 year olds) and 1015 – 1115 (8 – 10 year olds).

The classes will involve use of a range of drama techniques and established methods in order to explore themes and scenarios.

The classes aim to enhance confidence, teamwork, cooperation, promote an enjoyment of drama and develop skills in movement and voice.

Salary: £30 per hour
Hours: Saturday 0900 – 1000 (4 - 6 year olds)
Saturday 1015 – 1115 (7 - 10 year olds)

B2 Theatre Company was founded in 2017. It has since built a reputation as one of the most versatile young theatre companies in the country, showcasing the most unique talent around. Since moving to Leith Theatre in 2018, B2 have performed high profile and innovative sell out productions drawing widespread acclaim, recognition and acknowledgment. Alongside this, B2 provides high quality arts training opportunities for children and young people, offering a clear and progressive pathway into the industry. This is achieved through the delivery of weekly performing arts classes (B2 Bairns)

Purpose
B2 are looking for an energetic, creative and dynamic Drama Facilitator to run weekly performing arts classes for children aged 4 – 10.

Duties
Deliver engaging and exciting weekly drama classes
Create and record lesson plans based on a given structure
Develop the performance skills of our children through the use of drama techniques
Develop knowledge of the individual needs of the children you are working with
Be administratively self-sufficient

Essential Skills and Criteria
A strong background in Drama Workshop Leading
Performance experience
Confidence using Teacher in Role
Demonstrable experience working with primary level children
Strong communication skills
Well organised and able to work on own initiative
Punctual and reliable
Positive attitude
Knowledge of the workings of Cecily O’Neil, Jonathan Neelands and August Boal
