Tin Crate is Caitlin Mulgrew (composer) and Hannah Venet (choreographer). TIN CRATE is collaboration between musician Caitlin Mulgrew and choreographer Hannah Venet. Together they create work in an open and relaxed environment with the freedom to experiment, try stuff out and have FUN! Working towards creating public performances and platforms for young people to exceed both their own, and other

people’s expectations. TIN CRATE offers contemporary music and dance workshops to young people across Edinburgh and beyond…

“We also saw the premiere of Group Hug by that began in Belgium by Hannah Venet as part of the (over)protection Lab. 30 primary 5 pupils from Edinburgh Gaelic School, some PRIME (60 years+ dance ensemble), some young performers and four artists. It was AMAZING!”

GROUP HUG IS TODAY at National Museum of Scotland in the Grand Gallery at 12.30, 13.30 & 14.30, as part of Edinburgh International Children's Festival's Opening Weekend.

Group Hug gently invites the audience to stop, watch, listen and maybe even join in. Celebrating human connection, this intergenerational performance explores the joy of being part of something bigger than yourself.

Cast includes; primary 5 pupils from Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce, , PRIME, Lou Brodie, Mark Bleakley, Claricia Kruithof and Misa Brzezicki.
