Festival update: This is just to confirm that SRAF definitely won't be taking place this year, but it's hoped to be back in 2020. The committee are still looking at potential venues and dates, but if anyone knows of a potentially suitable venue anywhere in Central Scotland, but ideally close to public transport, then please leave a comment below.

In the meantime, Glasgow & West of Scotland CAMRA will be holding the Glasgow Real Ale Festival in The Briggait from 20th - 22nd June, with around 150 ales.

Festival Update: Unfortunately we’re still exploring options for the Scottish Real Ale Festival this year and haven't agreed any dates or venue yet. As soon as we have any news we’ll post it on the page.

In the interim, remember that Forth Valley CAMRA are holding the Larbert Beer festival in the Dobbie Hall, Larbert on 29th and 30th March. Details in a post below.

Our Beer of the Festival was Traquair's 160/- Vintage Ale, which as you can imagine was very popular and sold out very quickly. Watch out for it in bottles later in the year.

However, the winner of our festival goody bag for entering the Beer of the Festival competition was CAMRA member Brian Cheeseman, from the Forth Valley Branch. Congratulations, and your prize will be winging its way to you very soon.

All leftover beer has been disposed of, West Edinburgh drains flowing with beer, and the venue emptied.

To the Festival Committee thanks for the hours put in organising the event. To the venue and staff of the Edinburgh Corn Exchange thanks for your help over the week.

Many thanks to the VOLUNTEERS who staffed the Scottish Real Ale Festival for the good work undertaken during set-up, opening hours and takedown. Without you there would be no festival.
