Amateur Cellists SOS!
Due to illness ( non-contagious!!) we are looking for 2 cellists to participate in our Edinburgh Ensembles@119 chamber music workshops this Saturday 24th February. One to play second cello in Brahms Bb sextet and another to play Beethoven viola quintet. Mixed skills - you absolutely do not need to play every note or know the works, just a willingness to have a go, have fun and learn insight from our specialist violin, viola, and cello coaches. 10-4 each day, lunch provided. DM for more details.

It was mega - as was the cost of the interval drinks!!

The quartet performed its final concerts on 21 and 22 October 2023.

And as it happens we’ll be there. Beethoven Opus 130 (will we get the Fugue?) and Schubert Quintet.

The group, famed for its rich vitality, easy power and a vast repertory that it recorded prolifically and toured tirelessly, is saying farewell.
