The Made in Scotland fund is to support artists, so we are always open to feedback and making changes that will benefit the artists wherever possible. With that in mind, we have listened to your feedback and decided to push back the deadline to 27 October 2025 at 10am.

Applications for the Made in Scotland 2026 showcase are now open. Made in Scotland is a curated showcase that promotes high-quality music, theatre and dance from Scotland-based artists to international promoters and audiences at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It is supported by the Scottish Government’s Festivals EXPO Fund – awarded to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society for this programme.

A show in the Made in Scotland programme can be new or existing work that is artistically ambitious and demonstrates strong international onward potential. All applicants should focus on articulating their international ambitions and the international appeal for the show being presented.

25 days (plus previews!) and edfringe is over for another year! The Made in Scotland programme presented an incredible line up of performances and the reviews - both professional and audience - have been amazing with too many stars to even begin to count, and so many award nominations and wins.

Congratulations to all the Made in Scotland showcase shows and their writers, performers, choreographers, musicians, crew, support teams, families, venues and everyone else involved. You did it!

🎶 Meet the Minds Behind the Myth - a Q & A with Joanna Nicholson 🎻

A Semi-Viking whirlwind! (This is from Andy Saunders the horn player 🎺) I more prosaically went for Viking, Seer, Queen.

The most inspiring part for me so far in collaborating with MiS is the support with just getting in there - you have to just leap in and DO the Fringe!

We would like to take Aud the Deep Minded touring in the Nordic countries, and we definitely want to make a film - we have already made a short promo with , which looks amazing due to the movement and slight distortion in the camerawork. A full length film combining that dynamic style with the projection art developed by .anderson.art would be stunning

Immersive, folkloric, portal.

💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗦?
The most inspiring part of collaborating with Made in Scotland has been the opportunity to connect with such a diverse range of powerful and impressive works. It's been energising to exchange ideas with the team and feel genuinely supported throughout the process. We’ve really appreciated the dedication, warmth, and enthusiasm the MiS team brings—it’s made a big impact on our experience, and helped us feel part of something much bigger.

🌍 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?
We’re really excited by the idea of taking Waxen Figures (or something similar) to an international stage. We'd love to bring a larger-scale version of the show to audiences in places like Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and the US, where there’s a strong appetite for mythic, genre-blurring performance. We’re also keen to integrate the show into electronic and audiovisual music festivals and nightclub venues—spaces like Berlin, Amsterdam, or London, where live art, sound, and club culture intersect in exciting ways.
