Last night we travelled to Liss Ard Estate, County Cork, Ireland to play for a wedding.

A mixture of Scottish, Irish and American all enjoyed the ceilidh dancing and DJ set that we provided.

Big thanks to Julia Dignan who played fiddle and William Scott who played drums and provided the DJ set as well.

The rain never dampened the atmosphere which was brilliant all evening.

A big thanks to the staff of Liss Ard estate who did a fantastic job.

As summer turns to autumn the regular country dancing groups start up again.

Morningside Scottish Country Dance Club are a nice group who dance every week at Cluny Church in Morningside, Edinburgh.

You can also email the secretary for more information and dance programs.

They are always keen to have dancers come along to visit and join the club.

Last night, 29th August 2026, we had a double feature. Playing for a lovely small wedding in Garvald. Julia Dignan playing fiddle and myself played for a excellent crowd who enjoyed the ceilidh.

Later that night we were joined by George Gray ,on drums, at Ghillie Dhu for their last Edinburgh Festival Fringe ceilidh. A great mixed age crowd of people who enjoyed the ceilidh dances.

A great ceilidh this afternoon at Stramash in Edinburgh. A really busy venue with some lovely people willing to dance. All the steps were called and everyone enjoyed it immensely.

This Thursday I travel to Stornoway to play at the Lewis and Harris Accordion and Fiddle Club with Claire Gullan
