We’re so excited to launch the TiSS at 10 Programme 🌟

For a decade now, Theatre in Schools Scotland has toured bold, inspiring, live theatre and dance productions into Scotland's schools and nurseries.

To celebrate this milestone, every Theatre in Schools Scotland performance will be free of charge for participating schools as part of a one-off special TISS at 10 anniversary programme from Aug 2026-June 2027! We can’t wait for a year of even more accessible creativity and performance magic in schools.

TiSS is delivered in partnership with National Theatre of Scotland.

A Home for Hamish goes to Shetland! 📍

Just Us (created by Clare Adam and Lesley Howard) took their show to Shetland last week where they performed at Mid Yell Junior High School as part of their TiSS tour.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to tour shows in the farther reaches of Scotland and we’d like to thank NorthLink Ferries for their support! ⛴️

We are delighted to announce that Lightning Ridge, presented by Catherine Wheels Theatre Company will be touring schools as part of Theatre in Schools Scotland in Feb/March 2026.

Lightning Ridge is an award-winning production for upper primary classes about the possibility of dreams, about a community coming together, the preciousness of hope and how, sometimes, we have to believe in the impossible.

The show won Best Production for Children and Young People at the 2024 Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland. We can’t wait for Lightning Ridge to reach new audiences across Scotland in 2026.

This sensory, inclusive performance is made especially for and with children with complex needs ages 7-15 years. Playfulness within the work creates space for live response between the audience and performers, with its adaptable approach allowing the individuality of each child to be celebrated.

Poggle and Me is created by Barrowland Ballet in partnership with Atta Festival, Turkey. This project is supported by the British Council’s International Collaboration Grant.
