The debut album from Dàna is a truly spectacular work, I’d encourage you to give it a listen if contemporary Trad floats your boat! We had such an awesome time putting this one together, and I think you can hear the fun we had reflected in the masterful interpretation of their work.

This album has been over a year in the making, and we’re super proud to have it out in the world. Thank you to our wonderful engineer Richie for being our fifth band member in the studio and helping us create this album, and to Ross for creating a gorgeous master.

Very excited to announce that I've had the incredibly noisy, super funny and amazing creators of top notch punk Control hooligan rock n roll in the studio over the past wee while, making their new album Kick Down The Doors. This absolute pocket of dynamite is being unleashed to the world very soon, and I'm glad to say that no studio doors were harmed in the making of this album.

Always good to get a wee heads up about what’s going to be happening in your session, it allows me to do as much prep as possible before recording, making soundchecking swifter and allowing us to get into the creative zone asap 😎 pre production for the win!

An excellent sesh recording some drums for the brilliant Allan Knox for his forthcoming single. 175bpm, in this heat too! Yes, that is bits of drumstick stuck to my forehead. Phew.

Still coming down from a sweet couple of days recording the incredible Control hooligan rock n roll, on the 2nd load of sessions for their new album. As usual, we were so deep into the music there ain’t any pics from in session, but the powerhouse that is Joe Lewis managed to slay this floor Tom head. What better way to commemorate the session than having the whole band sign it?! Shifty’s broken bass pick is on there too 😎🤘

'Tis the season, and what a wonderful time it is to share with you the new Tannahill Weavers album, Solstice, which fuses many well known Christmas melodies with their own inimitable traditional Scottish style, making a rare and magical listen to get you in the mood for a Blythe Yule! Recorded by Phil Smillie at Tentsmuir Studios and by Aaron Jones at his home studio, with additional recording, editing mixing and mastering done at B&B Studios over the course of the year, it's lovely to see it now come into season for you all to enjoy 🎄🎅🎄

Boo! What with Halloween just a day away, allow me to recommend 'Halloween Hits, Vol 1 - Enter The Horror Disco', a spine chillingly spooky funkbeast. The brainchild of Pat McGarvey, we did a big freakdown mix lobotomy on a it couple of years ago, probably in the dead of night. I can't quite remember, I was possessed by the Boogiemonster! It'll surely get yer skeletoes tapping 🎃🎃🎃
