Screening Europe at Filmhouse Screening Europe is an annual season of European cinema at Filmhouse chosen by Film Studies at the University of Edinburgh.

Screening Europe is a new season of films curated by the department of Film Studies at the University of Edinburgh. We will bring a varied selection of past and contemporary European films to the Filmhouse to celebrate and interrogate the history and aesthetics of cinema in Europe. We invite members of the public as well as students to join us for an exciting series of introduced screenings that w

ill chart the development of film across Europe. All films will be introduced by an academic from Film Studies at the University of Edinburgh.

Booking is now open for a 10-day course I'll be teaching with Martine Pierquin at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

'An Insight into EIFF' will include a wide variety of premieres, lectures and special events including the Opening Night film and party.

All students will have access to Press and Industry screenings.

I'll be introducing 'The Most Wonderful Evening of My Life' tonight at Filmhouse . It's the second in the Italian Film Festival's mini Ettore Scola season, a 1972 adaptation of Dürrenmatt's novella 'A Dangerous Game' featuring Scola favourite Alberto Sordi opposite French acting royalty Michel Simon, Charles Vanel and Pierre Brasseur.
