Proud to be stocking the newest release from local record label, Slipping

Rainsmoked Christmas is the second vinyl release of Nottingham/Glasgow band Food People after Many Glorious Petals (Feeding Tube, 2023). The band have been committed members of the British DIY scene for almost a decade, releasing handfuls of CDRs and tapes on legendary labels such as Chocolate Monk and GLARC and putting on countless gigs under the name Rammel Club. Either unwilling or unable to betray a sense of professionalism, their music is marked by ramshackle jams, broken gear, unexpected movements from cacophony to lyricism and an immediate rawness. Lila, Greg and Matthew were dear friends long before they formed a band; their music is both a result and an expression of the collective joy that their sporadic get-togethers bring about.
